Senior Intellectual Property Counsel-Ireland

Our client, a global semiconductor leader, is seeking an experienced IP lawyer to oversee intellectual property work across designated business units as part of a global IP team. This role will be based out of their offices in Limerick, Ireland, and will serve as the in-house expert on European IP matters.

Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Oversee the preparation and prosecution of a global IP portfolio, including the management of outside IP counsel around the world
  • Direct and guide the IP deliverables for all stages of product development
  • Provide legal counsel, drafting and negotiation of IP agreements, including software licenses.
  • Assist with open source software issues, usage reviews and related product clearances

Our client, a global asset manager with over $750 Billion in AUM (over one-third of which is related to real estate), has asked us to find for them a highly qualified, major law firm trained attorney with 5-10 years of experience to take on an exciting, high-profile, growth-oriented, non-legal leadership role.

You will be responsible for developing and managing their Americas Region enterprise risk management program for their Real Estate assets.
In order to be successful in this role, you need to be confident, motivated and business-oriented and have exceptional people skills as well as strong communication, writing, and analytical skills.

This role involves strategic leadership and day-to-day guidance in the execution of the risk program in the Americas (Brazil, Canada and the United States) based on an understanding of the business objectives with respect to a variety of real estate assets. Evaluating and advising on legal, reputational and business risks are critical to the role. Key areas of focus include cybersecurity, data privacy, health and safety, physical security and anti-bribery and corruption. These are all helpful substantive experiences but are not required. We represent a Fintech, Alternative Investment Platform looking to hire an attorney with 3 plus years of experience. General Counsel

We have been retained by a high growth private equity portfolio company looking to hire their first General Counsel, reporting to the CEO.
The General Counsel will be responsible for management and development of the firm’s in-house legal function and legal activities which includes but is not limited to real estate transactions including leasing, acquisition and development, corporate, commercial agreements and strategic partnerships, compliance and ethics. Key responsibilities include:

Commercial and Transactions:

  • Drive negotiation and documentation of the end to end legal process for corporate and real estate transactional matters including leasing, licensing and partnership related agreements

Litigation:

Education and other key qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 + years of a proven track record of success and deep expertise across the in-house legal function with financial sponsor experience and training from private practice.
  • Experience in high-growth private equity / sponsor environment (or in a high-growth, autonomous business unit).
  • The ability to operate in a fast-paced, autonomous environment with a sense of urgency and resourcefulness. Ability to work with deadlines and a changing environment.
  • The role will be based in New York City with preference for 4+ days of in-office attendance.
