Sandrea Friedman

Sandrea Friedman
Sandrea “Sandy” Friedman has been a legal search consultant since 1989. She is a founder and Managing Partner of The PeterSan Group, formed in 1994 with Peter Goldfeder and Peter Gosule. Sandy is also a founder and Managing Partner of PeterSan Legal Staffing.
Sandy graduated second in her class from Hofstra University School of Law where she was a Research Editor of the Law Review. Prior to becoming a legal search consultant, Sandy practiced law for five years as a litigator with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. She also holds a Master’s Degree from George Warren Brown School of Social Work, Washington University and a Bachelor’s Degree, cum laude, in Psychology from SUNY Buffalo where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
Sandy is a Duplicate Bridge Life Master and a professional magician. She was previously a member of the Hofstra University School of Law Dean’s Advisory Committee.

Peter Goldfeder

Peter Goldfeder
Peter Goldfeder started The PeterSan Group in 1994 with Sandrea Friedman and Peter Gosule. Peter has been a legal search consultant since 1987.
Peter works on both contingent and retained searches. He has successfully placed permanent attorneys and compliance professionals with law firms and corporations worldwide. Peter’s placements have included individual partners and groups, General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officers, in-house counsel and associates at all levels and in all areas of practice. He also places attorneys into non-legal business positions.
Peter also manages PeterSan Legal Staffing, a premier temporary legal placement firm in New York City. PeterSan Legal Staffing places contract attorneys, permanent and contract paralegal and litigation support professionals with major law firms and corporations.
Peter received his Bachelor of Science degree from Syracuse University where he majored in Economics and Marketing. Prior to joining the legal search profession, he worked at Shearson Lehman Brothers and Drexel Trading Corporation.

Peter Gosule
Managing Director

Peter Gosule
Peter Gosule is a Managing Partner of The PeterSan Group, which he formed with Sandrea Friedman and Peter Goldfeder in 1994. Since entering legal search in 1985, Peter has built a global reputation by leading retained and contingent in-house searches for some of the world’s most important corporations.
As a leader in the legal search industry, Peter has placed attorneys at all levels including General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, Deputy General Counsel, Chief IP Counsel, Head of Litigation and Division General Counsel across industry sectors worldwide. His legal and compliance search work spans a wide range of industries (including pharmaceutical, consumer product, aerospace, consumer electronic, chemical, biotech, automotive and manufacturing industries) and includes clients ranging from global Fortune 500 to mid/small cap to growth stage and private equity-backed companies.
Mr. Gosule received his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the State University of New York at Albany in 1985, where he was also a four year member of the basketball team. Peter served as a Board Member of the Team Suffolk Swim Club, a nationally ranked Long Island based swim team. He is an avid golfer (desperately trying to improve his game), is active in local community activities and national charities and is a devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics, Boston Bruins and New York Jets (don’t ask). Peter and his wife reside on Long Island, with their three children now grown and flown!

Eugenio Benvenuto

Eugenio Benvenuto
Eugenio Benvenuto is a foreign attorney that has worked for New York based since 2015. Leveraging the expertise and insights gained from the years in litigation, Eugenio now specializes in connecting top legal talent with leading firms and corporations all around the globe.
Handling both permanent placements as well as contract positions, Eugenio brings a unique perspective to the world of legal recruitment, helping both candidates and clients achieve their goals with precision and professionalism.
Fluent in Italian and Spanish, Eugenio has a law degree from Universita’ di Perugia (Italy) and an LLM in U.S. and Comparative Law from Fordham Law School.
Eugenio loves to watch soccer games and practicing boxing, as well as playing guitar and deejaying with family and friends, but traveling is his biggest passion.

Chris Brunner-Grand

Chris Brunner-Grand
Chris Brunner-Grande gained a wealth of experience in legal recruiting from his prior role with a full service international legal search firm. Chris enjoys building relationships and takes great pride in finding the right fit for his clients and candidates.
Chris graduated from Syracuse University with a Major in Economics, and went on to receive an MBA from the University of Miami.
Chris is originally from New Jersey and currently resides in Manhattan. In his spare time he loves to watch sports, particularly hockey and football where he roots for the New Jersey Devils and New York Jets.

Sam comes from an extensive background in the legal industry, where he has partnered with many firms among the Am Law 200. His experience has given him a strong understanding of the unique demands of legal hiring. Sam prides himself on his meticulous attention to detail, thoughtful relationship-building, and his ability to match top-tier legal talent with opportunities that align with their goals and strengths. Whether he’s supporting a fast-growing legal team or helping a candidate make a pivotal career move, Sam is committed to creating a seamless and positive experience on both sides of the table.
Sam earned his degree in History from American University. Outside of work, you can find him exploring New York’s food scene, catching a Mets, Jets, or Rangers game, or seeking out the best live music the city has to offer.
He currently resides in Brooklyn with his wife and their bernedoodle, who keeps them both on their toes and ensures their weekends start with long walks through Prospect Park.

Jill Sacher, Esq.

Jill Sacher, Esq.
Jill is a Director at The PeterSan Group. Her practice has primarily focused on law firm partner and counsel placements and now includes associate and in-house roles. Prior to The PeterSan Group, she worked at another well-known legal recruiting firm.
At the outset of her career, Jill practiced law at a mid-size firm in New York. She then worked in HR Recruiting at Goldman Sachs and managed the U.S. executive search practice. After taking time off to raise her three kids, Jill returned to work at Morgan Stanley and worked in Experienced Recruiting and Talent Development where she designed and implemented various HR programs. Jill’s experience practicing law coupled with her career in corporate HR gives her a unique understanding of the career challenges attorneys face as well as the business needs of law firms and corporations.
Jill has placed attorneys and worked on searches across a wide array of practice areas including International Arbitration, Commercial Litigation, Real Estate Litigation, Securities Litigation, Real Estate, M&A, Finance, WCC, Bankruptcy, Labor & Employment and Tax.
Jill is deeply committed to her candidates and clients and believes that transparency, open communication, and trust are critical to a successful relationship. She collaborates with clients to understand their recruiting needs, share market knowledge and help drive search strategies. Jill partners with her candidates to formulate a targeted job search and guide them through the recruiting and hiring process.
Jill earned her law degree at Georgetown University Law Center and received her B.A., magna cum laude, from The University of Michigan. After living in New York City for many years, she now resides in Westfield, New Jersey with her husband.

Thomas Goubadia

Thomas Goubadia
Thomas Goubadia is a Practice Manager with The PeterSan Group, where he focuses on business development and legal workforce solutions across both law firm and in-house environments. He partners closely with clients and candidates to bridge immediate legal talent needs with long-term, business-driven outcomes, supporting permanent and interim placements that help legal teams operate with speed, precision, and flexibility.
Thomas brings a multidisciplinary background spanning legal recruiting, operations management, healthcare staffing, and financial services. Prior to joining The PeterSan Group, he served as Managing Director of Business Development at Major, Lindsey & Africa, where he advised law firms and corporate legal departments on complex legal hiring strategies. Earlier in his career, he held progressive leadership roles at Maxim Healthcare Group, including Operations Manager and Business Development Manager, where he built, scaled high-performing recruiting teams, and delivered talent solutions in fast-paced, highly regulated environments.
Known for his adaptable, solutions-oriented approach, Thomas is particularly skilled at helping organizations design interim legal benches, accelerate hiring timelines, and reduce reliance on outside counsel for repeatable work. His ability to align legal talent strategy with broader operational and financial objectives makes him a trusted partner to general counsel and firm leadership alike.
Thomas holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from William Paterson University of New Jersey and associate degrees in Public Health and Health Care Administration and Management from the Globe Institute of Professional Studies.
Outside of work, Thomas enjoys traveling, with Jamaica being his favorite place to unwind. His dream trip includes stops in Dubai, Greece, Tokyo, and the Maldives.

Matt Telford
Matt Telford is a seasoned legal recruiter with deep expertise in permanent legal placements across a broad range of settings—including Am Law 100 firms, boutique practices, in-house legal departments, nonprofit organizations, and government entities. Drawing on nearly a decade of experience as a litigation attorney at top-tier firms such as Latham & Watkins and Simpson Thacher, Matt brings a sophisticated understanding of legal practice and recruitment strategy to every search.
With a comprehensive, 360-degree approach to recruiting, he builds lasting relationships with both clients and candidates while navigating complex placements with precision and professionalism. His dual perspective—as both a former Big Law associate and current legal search consultant—enables him to deliver tailored, strategic guidance that consistently aligns legal talent with organizational needs.
Matt holds a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he graduated magna cum laudeand served as Technology Editor of the Law Review. He is also a proud Tar Heel, having grown up in North Carolina and earned his B.A. with highest distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys travel, playing pickleball, and spending time with his rescue cat (Leo).

Maureen Chianese is a Manager/Customer Development & Experience expert in the Recruiting Division at Talento Human Capital.
Prior to joining Talento, Maureen spent three-plus years recruiting for De Forest Search. At De Forest Search, she excelled in challenging Executive searches and was recognized as SRA’s top recruiter for the month of January 2022 out of 90+ offices. Maureen finds satisfaction in solving staffing needs at all levels, from discovering the next C-suit high performer to the college graduate in their first professional role.
